Hi my name is Blanche and although retired, I enjoy helping individuals and small businesses to promote their products and services. I am always available to help, mentor and advise. 

I have about 35 years of experience in typesetting and desktop publishing (DTP). My career started in Cape Town as a traditional typesetter and layout artist. Coming from a traditional printing background I understand typography and layout.

My DTP career started in the mid 1980s being trained on the Macintosh Plus. I have worked on virtually every iMac since and I am still enjoying the ride. Adobe and Affinity Software are loaded on my current iMac which gives me access to all the latest design, marketing applications, assets and tools. Most of my career was spent working for multi-national companies producing packaging, in-house magazines, training manuals and marketing material.

I have a passion for digital design technology and I enjoy the challenge of learning. I particularly enjoy renovating old photographs, I use Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Affinity Photo. I do not use quick filters or “one button click” apps to restore or colour your photo. I always aim to achieve results which look “natural” but still have old world antique charm.
